Job summary

TLC: Talk Listen Change is seeking a Domestic Abuse Support Worker (Thriving Families) in Manchester to deliver tailored DA support within a multi-disciplinary team. You will assess risk, develop safety plans and work with partners to safeguard adults and children affected by domestic abuse.

This role requires trauma-informed practice, advocacy, and collaboration with safeguarding processes and multi-agency teams to empower victims and improve emotional wellbeing. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a trauma-informed way with individuals experiencing domestic abuse.
• Confidence in providing advocacy, psychoeducation and support around the impact of domestic abuse on adults, children and parenting.
• Experience of safeguarding processes and multi-agency working.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored domestic abuse support interventions within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Complete risk and needs assessments and develop safety and support plans.
• Provide advocacy and practical/emotional support to increase safety and wellbeing.
