Job summary

Kibble Education And Care Centre in the United Kingdom is seeking a dedicated role to support learning and teaching within the classroom and residential settings.

The post is fixed term for 12 months, 37 hours per week, term-time (39 weeks per year), with a pro-rata salary of £29,718 to £35,325, depending on qualifications and experience. You will work under supervision to promote positive behaviour and help pupils reach targets while ensuring a safe environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC Level and SVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject.
• Ability to interact with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with colleagues across a range of subjects.
• Patient and with a good sense of humour.

Responsibilities

• Report to the assigned Service at 8.30am and report to the senior member of staff on duty.
• Support young people through their morning routine, including basic hygiene and breakfasting.
• Accompany young people to and from school.
• Help young people meet their targets in the learning and teaching setting through explaining directions and promoting positive behaviour.
• Support individual pupils through one to one attention and assist with learning difficulties.
• Provide input in relevant reports and maintain a safe environment for all learners and staff.
