Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is recruiting Support Workers for a children's home in Birmingham, providing care to vulnerable young people in a trauma-informed environment. You will support emotional, physical and developmental needs, acting as a positive role model and building trusting relationships.

The role requires flexibility for long shifts, days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. A full UK driving licence is essential; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable children preferred.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with young people.
• Calm, patient and resilient under challenging circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Support children with emotional, physical and developmental needs.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with young people.
• Act as a positive role model for the children.
• Support young people who have experienced trauma.
• Encourage positive activities, routines and life experiences.
• Help young people develop independence and confidence.
• Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
• Uphold strong safeguarding practices.
