Job summary

Paragon Social Care, headquartered in the United Kingdom, is seeking passionate Children's Support Workers to help vulnerable children in care. You will provide compassionate, trauma-informed care, build positive relationships, support education and life skills, and advocate for the child’s voice.

A full UK driver’s licence and your own car are required. You’ll work waking nights, weekends, and sleep-ins as needed. Training is provided, and an Enhanced DBS check is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people, paid or voluntary.
• Patience, empathy and emotional resilience.
• Flexible approach including nights, weekends and sleep-ins.
• Clear enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
• NVQ Level 3 in Children's Residential Care or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, trauma-informed care to keep young people safe and supported.
• Build positive relationships and promote healthy routines.
• Prepare meals, support education, and encourage life skills.
• Advocate for their voice, ensuring they feel heard and valued.
• Support medical appointments and community activities.
• Use your own vehicle to transport young people when needed.
• Help them move forward with confidence into their next chapter.
