Job summary

YourRecruit Ltd is seeking Residential Care Practitioners to support children and young people in a nurturing home environment in Erith or Abbey Wood. The role focuses on emotional well-being, development and independence within a trauma-informed framework.

Successful candidates will promote consistency, resilience and positive relationships. Full-time or part-time hours are available, with 12-hour shifts and opportunities for progression within a safety-conscious setting.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
• Experience in children’s residential care or supporting young people is desirable.
• Understanding of safeguarding, child development, attachment and trauma.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality residential childcare and day-to-day emotional support.
• Safeguard children and young people, following relevant policies and procedures.
• Support individuals with complex emotional, behavioural and developmental needs.
• Apply trauma-informed, child-centred approaches to care.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence and life skills.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate effectively with families and other professionals.
• Contribute to a stable, positive and supportive residential home.
