Zusammenfassung

Hampshire County Council is seeking a Registered Manager for an Ofsted-regulated children’s home serving ages 10–17. You will lead a dedicated team to provide a safe, nurturing environment, with a focus on trauma-informed care and family reunification or transition to independence.

You will work closely with a Deputy Manager and multi-agency partners to ensure compliance, high-quality care plans and continuous service improvement, while supporting staff development and managing resources.

Qualifikationen

• Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare and meet Ofsted registration requirements.
• Extensive management experience in residential care for vulnerable children.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and commitment to trauma-informed practice.

Aufgaben

• Oversee day-to-day running of the home in line with its Statement of Purpose and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirements as Responsible Person.
• Develop strong, supportive relationships with children and advocate for their needs.
• Collaborate with families, professionals and external agencies to support positive outcomes.
• Manage recruitment, training, supervision and performance of staff.
• Oversee budgets, staffing and equipment to ensure efficient operation.
