Job summary

ACS-Recruitment is seeking a Registered Manager to lead a new children’s residential home in Oldbury. You will oversee day-to-day operations, safeguarding, and care planning to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

The role requires a compassionate leader with experience in residential childcare, Ofsted readiness, and staff development. You will build a supportive culture and drive continuous improvement to help children thrive.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ residential childcare experience within the last 5 years.
• At least 1 year supervising or managing care staff.
• Experience managing safeguarding and child protection.
• Strong knowledge of children’s residential care and the Quality Standards.
• Experience leading and developing a residential childcare team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a motivated residential childcare team.
• Ensure the home meets Ofsted and regulatory requirements.
• Promote safeguarding culture and protect children from harm.
• Ensure care is child-centred and trauma-informed, aligned with PACE.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and placement planning.
