Job summary

Purosearch Ltd is seeking a Registered Home Manager in Halifax to provide full operational leadership for a children’s home. You will lead and develop the care team to deliver outstanding care, oversee safeguarding, risk management and care planning, and ensure Ofsted compliant policies across the site.

The role demands strong leadership, direct experience in residential childcare, and a child-centred approach aimed at positive outcomes for young people.

Qualifications

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a Deputy Manager or similar and readiness to progress to Registered Manager.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and understanding of Ofsted requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide full operational leadership and management of the children’s home.
• Lead, support and develop the care team to deliver outstanding care.
• Oversee care planning, safeguarding and risk management processes.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, policies and procedures.
• Liaise with education providers and multidisciplinary professionals.
• Promote the home with internal and external stakeholders.
• Produce reports and performance data in line with KPIs.
• Drive service quality and continuous improvement for young people.
• Contribute to organisational projects and development initiatives.
• Participate in on-call rota and provide management support when required.
