Job summary

Break Charity is seeking a Residential Support Worker to provide safe, child-centred care in our homes. You will support emotional and physical wellbeing, acting as a positive role model for young people who have experienced trauma.

You’ll obtain a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 24 months (fully funded) and must have a full UK driving licence. DBS check required; salary to £29,482, with sleep-in payments.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• Must complete Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 24 months (fully funded).
• Enhanced DBS check required before start (funded by Break).

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, consistent and child centred care supporting emotional and physical wellbeing of young people in Break’s homes.
• Be a positive role model, helping young people heal from trauma, build confidence and trust in adults.
• Work with colleagues and Break’s therapeutic services to ensure each young person feels valued and supported.
