Job summary

Culina is hiring a Transport Support Operator on a full-time, permanent basis in the Contract Logistics division. The role covers debriefing drivers daily and providing essential administration support to the Transport team.

The schedule is 4 on, 4 off, 6am–6pm, with salary £28,181 per annum and a Salary Sacrifice Car Scheme option. This position offers opportunities to contribute to efficient despatch operations and to develop within a leading UK logistics partner.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport administration or logistics is desirable.
• Strong data entry and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Debrief drivers daily and coordinate transport information for the team.
• Provide general administration support to the Transport team.
• Process and manage documents related to despatch and driver records.
• Maintain accurate spreadsheets and records for run summaries and loads.

Job description

• Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
• Scanning and storing PODs using the document management system.
• Preparing drivers' wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
• Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
• Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
• Downloading drivers' cards / tachographs.
• Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
• Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
• Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
• Attention to detail / accuracy.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Positive and adaptable attitude.
• Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
• Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
• Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
• Good standard of computer literacy, particularly MS Office e.g. PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

This position is responsible for debriefing drivers on a daily basis alongside providing general administration support to the Transport team. Salary: £28,181 per annum.
