The purpose of the Transport Supervisor is to support the Transport and Compliance Managers on shift and assist in the transport operational running of the site. You will support the Transport Manager on shift, working with our driver teams to ensure timely dispatch, conduct effective driver briefs and debriefs, and support safety and legal compliance management.

Accountabilities

• Ensure full compliance with legislative requirements for all workers.
• Brief and debrief drivers to ensure understanding and execution of instructions for their runs.
• Review driver daily check sheets, ensure vehicles are roadworthy, and report any defects, accidents, or damage.
• Ensure all new drivers (FTE, Agency) are licensed checked, assessed, and inducted before their first shift.
• Download information from digital tachographs at the start and end of each shift.
• Manage and monitor vehicle maintenance, service planner, and VOR to ensure vehicles are fit for the road.
• Undertake H&S tasks such as yard walks and vehicle checks.

Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in collating reports on driver information, including Digi tachographs, and health & safety for site and drivers.
• Experience in route optimisation and problem solving as a Transport Shift Supervisor.
• Experience with TMS systems such as Isotrak, Tachomaster, Ortec, or equivalent.
• Proficient in PC use, especially Windows, MS Office, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
