Job summary

Loom Talent in Doncaster is working with a well-established retail business to recruit a hands-on Transport Supervisor for the busy distribution operation. You will oversee day-to-day transport tasks, lead from the front and uphold standards across performance, compliance and customer service.

You’ll be heavily involved with the wider logistics distribution and supply chain, ensuring transport and warehouse functions stay aligned and that deliveries are completed OTIF in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Transport Supervisor or transport team leader.
• Background in retail, distribution or fast-paced logistics.
• Strong knowledge of transport compliance and procedures.
• Excellent communication and driver management skills.
• Experience working in a wider logistics and supply chain operation.
• Organised, proactive and capable of making decisions in live operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the day-to-day transport operation across drivers and fleet activity
• Supporting route planning and ensuring deliveries are completed OTIF
• Managing driver briefings, debriefs and daily operational issues
• Monitoring compliance across drivers' hours, WTD and vehicle checks
• Working closely with warehouse and wider Logistics distribution and supply chain teams
• Supporting KPI tracking and identifying operational improvements
• Maintaining high standards of communication, safety and customer service throughout the operation

• Organised, proactive and capable of making decisions in a live operational setting
