Job summary

Wolseley Group is recruiting a Transport Supervisor for the Measham site. The role supports a Safe, Legal and compliant transport operation on-site and involves briefing drivers, managing paperwork, and ensuring vehicle checks are completed to standard.

You will work a fixed 3.30am–11.30am shift, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. The team offers competitive benefits, a pension and opportunities through Wolseley Talent Guild.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport compliance.
• Supervisor or team leader experience.
• IT literate and able to use different systems.
• Comfortable working in the yard in all weather conditions to check defaults on vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Support the Transport Manager in leading a safe, legal and compliant transport operation on-site.
• Ensure any non-compliance is reported and logged in the relevant system(s).
• Oversee the safe delivery of products and complete paperwork to a high-quality standard.
• Brief and de-brief drivers at end of shifts, communicating updates and policy changes.

As a Transport Supervisor based in Measham, you’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the Transport Manager in leading a Safe, Legal and Compliant transport operation on-site and ensuring vehicle checks are carried out to the required standard
• Ensuring any non-compliance is reported to the Transport Manager and logged on the relevant system(s)
• Ensuring the safe delivery of products and the administration of paperwork to a high-quality standard
• Briefing and De-briefing drivers at end of shifts, communicating updates, information on performance, company news and policy/procedural updates and dealing with day-to-day driver issues, KPI’s

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 3.30am - 11.30am - this is a fixed shift!
