Job summary

TLP is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to support the PM shift in Andover. You will lead a small team, ensure daily customer transport requirements are met, and liaise with customers and colleagues to uphold high safety and performance standards.

This role focuses on coordinating internal fleet and subcontractors, managing drivers, and maintaining O Licence compliance, while driving cost-efficiency and process adherence.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in Transport Supervisor/Transport Operations role.
• Ability to manage and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of current UK transport legislation.
• Hands-on experience with O Licence compliance.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach to transport operations and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Daily satisfaction of all customer transport requirements.
• Serving as a key management liaison for customer interactions.
• Optimising the coordination of internal fleet and subcontractors for maximum cost-effectiveness.
• Leading day-to-day driver management, focusing on team development, training, and operational efficiency.
• Strategic management of suppliers, including subcontractors, agencies and maintenance providers, to control operational spend.
• Ensuring peak reliability and presentation through regular driver, vehicle and trailer checks.
• Guaranteeing full adherence to all company internal processes, procedures, and O Licence legislative requirements.
• Compiling and presenting weekly management information and operational reports.

A leading 3PL and distribution business in the Andover area is looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to support its day-to-day transport operation, working on the PM shift.
