The Role

As Transport Supervisor, you will support the day-to-day leadership of the transport operation, working closely with the management team to ensure it runs safely, efficiently and to the highest operational standards.

Key areas of focus include:

• Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing transport team
• Supervising day-to-day transport operations and driver performance
• Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, Health & Safety requirements and operational standards
• Supporting effective planning, scheduling and resource allocation
• Monitoring fleet and transport performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement
• Delivering exceptional levels of customer service
• Supporting the management team with operational and commercial objectives
• Dealing proactively with operational issues and ensuring appropriate corrective action is taken ....

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Transport Supervisor who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop towards a future management position.

You will bring:

• Proven experience supervising or leading a transport operation
• Strong knowledge of transport operations and driver management

• Strong leadership and people-management skills

A CPC Transport Manager qualification would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate. The business is particularly interested in individuals who have the experience, leadership capability and ambition to develop into a management position.

Experience with budgets, fleet performance, compliance or Health & Safety would also be beneficial, along with qualifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
