PHOENIX Medical Supplies Ltd. in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to lead the distribution team in our busy DC. You will manage operational performance, ensure on-time deliveries, and uphold health and safety standards.

You will have proven delivery driving and supervisory experience, GCSEs including Maths and English, and ideally IOSH/First Aid/Fire Marshall qualifications. The role includes deputising for the Depot Manager when required and offering excellent staff

Qualifications

IOSH, First Aid and Fire Marshall qualifications are a bonus.

The Role holder will

work as part of a busy Distribution Centre in Birmingham with key responsibilities including leading an efficient distribution operation which meets the needs of our customers by providing a reliable service. The role holder will use all available resources to minimize cost and maximize profit within legal and regulatory guidelines. In the absence of the Depot Manager, you will on occasion be deputising for this post both in realtion to transport and distribution related duties.

In this role you will be required to stand and walk for the majority of your shift, as well as needing to be able to lift (products up to 15kg), bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.

Who are we looking for?

You will come to this role with proven work experience in delivery driving and team leader or supervisory experience.

You will have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English alongside being well organised, have excellent communication and leadership skills and a good level of knowledge in relation to Health and Safety.

If you come with an IOSH, First Aid and Fire Marshall qualification this would be a bonus.
