Are you wanting to make a difference in the world of food? Our Transport Manager Darren and his team are looking for their next Transport Shift Manager for Nights. This role is based in Milton Keynes. Your responsibilities include leading, motivating, and developing our operational team to ensure compliance with legislative obligations, maintaining staffing levels, managing absences, and authorising overtime with justification. You will manage the D365 system within transport to ensure timely processing of purchase requests and appropriate placement of purchase orders. Additionally, you will investigate vehicle and personal accidents, interview staff to determine responsibility, take corrective actions, and submit reports to the Transport and Health and Safety Managers.

Knowledge & Skills

• Ensure all Drivers are compliant with EU and working time directive regulations and investigate accidents/incidents promptly.
• Ensure operational compliance by overseeing servicing plans and defect control.
• Lead your team to meet and exceed operational objectives such as service provision, productivity, and fuel KPIs.
• Promote a culture of safety within the team, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and investigating incidents.
• Experience at a supervisory or management level within a complex, fast-paced transport operation.
• Excellent knowledge of driving compliance and related regulations.
• Experience with hygiene procedures, standards, and equipment in the chilled food industry.
• Management CPC Licence is preferred.
