Are you wanting to make a difference in the world of food? We need you! Our Transport Manager Darren and his team are looking for their next Transport Shift Manager for Nights. This role is based in Milton Keynes. Your responsibilities include leading, motivating, and developing our operational team to meet legislative obligations, maintain staffing levels, manage absences, and authorize overtime with justification. You will manage the D365 system within transport to ensure timely processing of purchase requests and appropriate placement of purchase orders. Additionally, you will investigate vehicle and personal accidents, interview staff to determine responsibility, take corrective actions, and submit reports to the Transport and Health and Safety Managers.

Knowledge & Skills

• Ensure all drivers comply with EU and working time directive regulations and investigate any accidents/incidents promptly.
• Maintain operational compliance through servicing plans and defect control management.
• Lead your team to meet and exceed operational objectives such as service provision, productivity, and fuel KPIs.
• Promote a safety culture within the team, ensuring safety procedures are followed and incidents investigated.
• Have supervisory or management experience within a complex, fast-paced transport operation.
• Possess excellent knowledge of driving compliance and related regulations.
• Experience with hygiene procedures, standards, and equipment in the chilled food industry.
• Ideally hold a management CPC Licence.
