Job summary

Lidl GB is seeking a Shift Leader to help run operations in one of our warehouses, leading by example to deliver daily performance. You’ll line-manage a great team, oversee night shifts from 20:00 to 06:30 and train new starters, supporting colleagues to stay motivated and work as a cohesive unit.

We offer £30,000 - £37,000 per annum, 30-35 days holiday (pro rata), a 10% in-store discount, enhanced family leave and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Line manage an amazing team, supporting them with development, coaching and training
• Lead the shifts for your area, taking responsibility for colleague performance and reports
• Collaborate with other Shift Leaders to ensure smooth operations across the RDC
• Support the Department Manager with daily operations and personnel management
• Motivate and support your team, aligning with Lidl values
• Mentor colleagues and support training
• Promote efficient working methods and identify inefficiencies
• Perform general warehouse duties like moving stock, picking goods and processing returns

What you'll do

• Line manage an amazing team, supporting them with all the development, coaching and training they need to succeed

• Work closely with other Shift Leaders within your department and across the RDC to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operations
• Support your Department Manager with daily operations and personnel management
• Motivate and support your team, learning from our Company Values
• Mentor your colleagues and supporting your team’s training
• Proactively promote efficient working methods, highlighting inefficiencies when you spot them
• Efficiently perform general warehouse operative duties like moving stock, picking goods and processing returns
