Job summary

Pod Talent is seeking a hands-on Transport Planner in Warwickshire. You will coordinate UK and European transport movements, ensure regulatory compliance, and support continuous improvements. The role offers on-site work with potential progression into supervision as the operation expands.

Ideal candidates will have UK/EU planning experience, knowledge of EU Drivers' Hours, and strong communication with drivers and customers. On-call support and a bonus are part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning and coordinating UK/EU movements.
• Understanding of EU Drivers' Hours and Tachograph regulations.
• Strong communication with drivers and customers.
• Familiarity with customs procedures and import/export documentation.
• Experience using a TMS system is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate UK and European transport movements.
• Create efficient and compliant transport schedules across multiple countries.
• Ensure planning activities comply with EU Drivers' Hours and Tachograph regulations.
• Allocate work to drivers and provide clear route instructions and briefings.
• Monitor live deliveries and proactively manage delays, disruptions, and issues.
• Coordinate import/export movements and support customs-related processes.
• Prepare customer quotations and pricing for transport requirements.
• Maintain accurate planning, compliance, and operational records.
• Build strong relationships with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvements to operational processes and planning systems.
