Job summary

You will work Monday to Friday, 07:30–16:30, with on-call duties. A proactive communicator who can handle tight deadlines will thrive in this setting.

Qualifications

• Experience as Transport Planner or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and practices.
• Familiar with UK road networks.
• Proficient with transportation management software and systems.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation routes for efficient delivery of goods.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
• Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Optimise transportation processes to minimise costs and maximise efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and performance metrics.
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, and customers to address issues or concerns.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices in transportation planning.
• Maintain a professional attitude when liaising with customers.
• Planner to be on call when not in the office.
• Investigations with drivers.
• When doing same-day desk deal with incoming emails regarding PODs, updating customer portals with times and PODs.
