Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a highly organised Transport Planner to join our established Logistics team in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on coordinating daily schedules, liaising with internal teams and freight forwarders, and maintaining accurate shipping documentation to ensure on-time deliveries.

With at least 3 years in transport planning or logistics, you will navigate HGV regulations, use Transport Management Systems (Webfleet preferred), and proactively resolve issues to uphold

• 3+ years' experience in transport planning or logistics.
• Knowledge of HGV regulations and road transport legislation.
• Experience with transport management systems; Webfleet knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Transport Planner

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Transport Planner to join a established Logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport schedules to ensure the timely delivery and collection of goods.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure finished goods are available in line with loading and dispatch schedules.
• Work closely with freight forwarders to arrange shipping, haulage, and associated logistics activities.
• Prepare, manage, and maintain accurate transport and shipping documentation within required timescales.
• Oversee the loading, dispatch, and delivery processes to ensure operational efficiency.
• Allocate vehicles, drivers, and routes to maximise service levels and operational performance.
• Investigate and resolve transport-related issues promptly, providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, transport regulations, and quality standards.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and logistics partners.
• Contribute positively to team objectives and support wider business operations as required.
• Promote the highest standards of customer and supplier care.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a transport planning, logistics, or similar operational role.
• Strong knowledge of HGV regulations, road transport legislation, and compliance requirements.
• Experience using transport management systems; knowledge of Webfleet would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
