Job summary

Waterman Group in Nottingham is seeking a Transport Planner to join our growing Transport Planning team. You will deliver high-quality transport planning solutions, work on multiple projects and build strong client and stakeholder relationships.

The role involves producing reports (Transport Notes, Statements, Assessments, Travel Plans, Environmental Statement Transport Chapters and Active Travel Audits) and preliminary highway design using AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in private consultancy development planning across multiple sectors.
• Degree in Transport Planning or related discipline.
• Experience producing Transport Notes, Statements, Assessments, Travel Plans, and Environmental Statement Transport Chapters.
• Experience using junction capacity modelling software (TRL Junctions, LinSig/Junctions).
• Proficiency in TRICS, TEMPro and AutoCAD.
• Good understanding of preliminary highway design and design standards.
• Experience supporting project delivery, including deliverables, financials and liaising with clients.
• Excellent organisational, communication, analytical and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce a range of technical reports and calculations for projects.
• Support delivery and management of projects, resourcing and budget.
• Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider Waterman Group.
