Job summary

Emtech Recruitment is recruiting for a Graduate Transport Planner in Nottingham. You will join a growing engineering consultancy and work on residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across the UK, gaining exposure to a wide range of transport planning tasks.

You will assist with transport assessments, travel plans and traffic modelling, while developing technical consultancy skills under experienced Directors and senior team members.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related subject.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Undertake junction modelling and analysis.
• Produce junction and highway layouts; AutoCAD desirable.
• Carry out technical analysis using Junctions 11, ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG.
• Support projects from feasibility through planning and delivery.
• Communicate with clients and project stakeholders.
• Attend site visits and support the wider project team.

Graduate Transport Planner

Location: Nottingham

Salary: Flexible depending on experience + benefits package

Emtech Recruitment are working with a growing medium-sized engineering consultancy that are looking for a Graduate Transport Planner to join their expanding team based in Nottingham

The consultancy works on a diverse range of projects across the UK, including large-scale residential developments, schools, industrial schemes, retail and commercial developments.

The Role

As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will work alongside experienced Transport Planning professionals and gain exposure to a wide range of projects and responsibilities, including:

• Preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
• Undertaking junction modelling and analysis
• Producing junction and highway layouts, with AutoCAD experience desirable
• Carrying out technical analysis using software such as Junctions 11, ARCADY, PICADY and LINSIG
• Supporting projects from initial feasibility through to planning and delivery
• Working across a variety of residential, retail, commercial and mixed-use developments
• Communicating with clients and other project stakeholders
• Attending site visits and supporting the wider project team

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• A relevant degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related subject
• An interest in developing a career within Transport Planning
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• A willingness to learn and develop technically
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as site visits will be required
