Who you are

You would need to have the following:

• Experience producing Transport Notes, Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans, ES Transport Chapters and Active Travel Audits, and associated calculations.
• Understanding of relevant local and national transport policy and guidance.
• Good organisation, communication, analytical and presentation skills, and a desire to innovate and improve through continual professional development.
• 5+ years' experience working in private consultancy development planning across multiple sectors, preferably including residential, commercial, industrial and logistics.
• Proficiency in preliminary highway design through competent use of AutoCAD and application of relevant design standards.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office 365 software - especially MS Word and MS Excel.
• Competent user of junction capacity modelling software such as TRL Junctions and LinSig/Quickgreen, and other key industry software programs such as TRICS and TEMPro.
• Competent user of a GIS software package (preferably QGIS or Podaris).
• Experience assisting with running/managing projects, including staff resourcing, project deliverables, project financials, liaising with clients and other key stakeholders.
• Have an aspiration to assist in the growth of the Nottingham Transport Planning Team and to start a new and exciting chapter in your career.
