Job summary

Carrington West in Cardiff is seeking a Transport Planner to join our growing team. You will work on a diverse portfolio of projects across Wales and the UK, supporting sustainable growth and planning outcomes.

You will collaborate with clients, architects, planning consultants and engineers to develop transport solutions, preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and planning reports, while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to multidisciplinary schemes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years' experience in a Transport Planning consultancy.
• Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and related reports.
• Good understanding of UK transport planning policy and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Delivery and Servicing Plans and transport chapters of Environmental Statements.
• Advise on transport strategies, accessibility, and sustainable travel.
• Support site appraisals and shape planning strategies.
• Collaborate with in-house engineering teams to influence site layouts and highway design.
• Build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
• Manage own workload and contribute to multidisciplinary projects.
