Job summary

SLR Consulting in Cardiff is seeking a Principal Transport Planner to lead transport planning projects, strengthen client relationships and help grow the business across the UK.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with planning, environmental and engineering disciplines, and play a key role in winning new work while delivering high-quality assessments and travel plans.

Qualifications

• Extensive UK transport planning consultancy experience.
• Degree and professional membership (MCIHT or equivalent).
• Strong client management and business development skills.
• Proven ability to win work and grow client relationships.
• Technical expertise in transport planning and appraisal.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with JUNCTIONS and LINSIG (desirable).
• Experience working with Energy sector clients would be advantageous.

• Develop and maintain strong client relationships that generate repeat business.

This is an opportunity for an experienced consultant who wants to do more than deliver great projects. We're looking for someone who can help strengthen and expand our presence across the South West, build lasting client relationships, identify new opportunities and play a key role in the continued growth of our transport planning business.

Alongside Technical Leadership, You'll Be a Trusted Adviser To Clients, a Mentor To Developing Consultants And a Visible Contributor To Business Development Activities. Working Closely With Regional And National Leaders, You'll Have The Platform To Influence Strategy, Develop Key Accounts And Help Secure The Next Generation Of Projects For The Team
