Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is recruiting a Transport Planner / Dispatch Coordinator for a busy construction materials operation in West London. You will sit at the centre of the operation, taking customer orders, planning deliveries and coordinating with drivers and production teams to get the right products to the right place at the right time.

The role values organised, proactive candidates with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take and process customer orders accurately.
• Plan and schedule deliveries throughout the working day.
• Upload orders and maintain accurate information on internal systems.
• Coordinate between customers, drivers, production and internal operational teams.
• Monitor workloads and adapt to schedule changes.
• Help ensure vehicles and deliveries are used efficiently.
• Communicate confidently with drivers and customers.
• Resolve day-to-day delivery and scheduling issues.
• Keep customers informed with a high level of service.
• Work closely with batching and production to keep operations efficient.

Job Title: Transport Planner / Dispatch Coordinator

Location: Uxbridge, West London

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm

Job Type: Permanent

The Role

Are you an organised, confident person who is good at keeping customers, drivers and operational teams moving in the same direction?

We are recruiting for a Transport Planner / Dispatch Coordinator to join a busy construction materials operation in West London.

This isn't simply an administration position. You'll sit at the centre of the operation, taking customer orders, planning and scheduling deliveries, coordinating with internal teams and drivers and making sure the right products get to the right place at the right time.

Previous experience within ready-mix concrete, aggregates, construction materials, transport or logistics would be advantageous, but we’re also interested in people with strong transferable experience who can learn the industry.

Full training on the company's systems and processes can be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

• Taking and processing customer orders accurately
• Planning and scheduling deliveries throughout the working day
• Uploading orders and maintaining accurate information on internal systems
• Coordinating between customers, drivers, production and internal operational teams
• Monitoring workloads and proactively responding when schedules or priorities change
• Helping ensure vehicles and deliveries are utilised efficiently
• Communicating confidently with drivers and customers
• Resolving day-to-day delivery and scheduling issues
• Keeping customers informed and providing a high level of service
• Working closely with the batching and production teams to keep operations running efficiently

You do not need to have previously held the title "Transport Planner". If you've worked within a relevant operational environment and have the communication, planning and organisational skills required, we'd still like to hear from you.

Hours & Package

• £30,000 – £35,000 per annum DOE
• Permanent PAYE position
• Monday to Friday
• 7:00am – 5:00pm
• Occasional Saturday cover, 7:00am – 2:00pm, paid at standard hourly rate
• Full training provided
