Job summary

Driverz Work in Crick is seeking a motivated Transport Planner to plan and coordinate the delivery and collection of goods to customer sites, while ensuring efficient fleet use and compliance with transport legislation.

The role requires IT literacy, good geographical knowledge, and a proactive, flexible approach; training will be provided, with a starting salary of £35k and a Tuesday-Saturday 13:00-22:00 shift.

Join Our Growing Team - Transport Planner - Based at Costco Crick.

We’re excited to offer an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to join our expanding business as a Transport Planner. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and highly organised individual to join our team. This role will involve planning and scheduling temperature-controlled deliveries to customer sites, ensuring an efficient, timely, and cost-effective transport operation.

• Plan and coordinate the delivery and collection of goods to various customer delivery points.
• Ensure optimal use of fleet and driver resources.
• Maintain accurate records using in-house systems (training will be provided).
• Support operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with transport legislation.
• Adapt to changes in schedule and resolve transport-related issues promptly.
• Regularly check trailer temperatures.

Working Hours & Salary: Tuesday to Saturday, 13:00 - 22:00 with 1 hour break. Starting salary at £35k, depending on experience.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Previous experience in a transport background is beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.
• Strong understanding of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Good geographical knowledge (preferred).
• IT literate with strong organisational and communication skills.
• A flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
