Cawingredients supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK market. We operate from a state of the art production and warehousing facility based on one site in North Yorkshire.

Play a key role in planning and moving goods to customer delivery points. You are an enthusiastic individual who will thrive in a fast-paced, progressive and expanding Transport Team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Transport Planning, preferably in FMCG or similar fast-moving environments.
• Strong IT literacy with CPMS/WMS systems and MS Word/Excel.
• Ability to follow instructions, work unsupervised and stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process and monitor customer orders via EDI or manually input orders.
• Allocate and arrange haulage through own fleet, 3PLs and partners within cost parameters.
• Schedule loads and maintain a booking-in calendar; print dispatch notes.
• Liaise with gatehouse, shift managers and transport teams to ensure timely loading and turnaround.
• Record KPIs and prepare reports for senior management.
• Assist with customs paperwork and export documentation for outbound shipments.
• Ensure accurate delivery slots, liaise with customers and coordinate collections.

Transport Planner and Warehouse Administrator

Cawingredients supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK market. We operate from a state of the art production and warehousing facility based on one site in North Yorkshire.

Play a key role in planning and moving goods to customer delivery points. You are an enthusiastic individual who will thrive in a fast-paced, progressive and expanding Transport Team.

Key Accountabilities:

• Receive, process and monitor orders via EDI as required.
• Manually input orders from customers as required.
• Allocate and arrange haulage for orders through directly-managed fleet, 3PL providers and ex-works partners.
• Work within agreed cost parameters when allocating haulage.
• Assist with the scheduling of loads and/or collections and completion of a booking-in schedule.
• Record and update key performance measures, produce bespoke reports and share these with senior managers as required.
• Liaise with gatehouse staff and assist with the booking-in of hauliers as they arrive.
• Process and print dispatch notes.
• Liaise with shift managers and other team members to ensure the timely loading and turnaround of vehicles.
• Obtain proof of deliveries of deliveries as require.
• Liaise with customers to assign haulage, arrange collections and confirm delivery slots, as required.
• Support with the preparation and control of customs paperwork and export documentation for outbound goods shipments, liaising with transport providers and the operational warehouse teams to collate the relevant information in an accurate and timely manner.

Ideally candidates will have:

• Ability to follow instruction.
• Excellent IT literacy and high level of proficiency with CPMS/WMS systems and Microsoft Word/Excel is essential.
• Recent relevant experience is essential, ideally a minimum of 3 year’s recent experience in a Transport Planning role and in FMCG or other fast-moving consumer goods environments.
• IT literacy and proficiency with SAP and WMS systems is preferred.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Ability to make the correct decision when pressurised.
