Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd is seeking a Transport Planner for the Cullompton depot. The role supports daily transport operations, driver coordination, and route planning within a busy contract.

The position offers a 4 on 4 off pattern with a salary between £30,000 and £32,000 per year, depending on experience. Applicants should have transport planning experience and knowledge of UK regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning or logistics is desirable.
• Good understanding of transport legislation including Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate vehicle routing to maximise fleet and driver utilisation while meeting customer service standards and controlling costs.
• Ensure all contracted transport activities are fully covered and delivered in line with customer requirements.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation across the fleet.
• Ensure drivers present a professional appearance and comply with company uniform standards.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with transport legislation, Health & Safety requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate daily transport operations and manage delivery schedules for South West clients.
