Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting a Transport Planner for a permanent role at a busy logistics operation near Glasgow (Eurocentral). You will coordinate daily vehicle movements, manage driver schedules and respond to operational issues, keeping service levels high and compliant.

The role offers a 4 on / 4 off pattern with a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per year. The successful candidate will work with customers, drivers and internal teams to maintain smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Transport Planner or similar role.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced transport environment.
• Container transport experience would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of TOPS Operating System would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating daily vehicle movements
• Managing driver schedules and operational requirements
• Liaising with customers, drivers and internal departments
• Responding to operational issues and schedule changes in real time
• Ensuring service levels and compliance standards are maintained
