Job summary

Culina Group Limited is seeking a Transport Planner to join our Transport Logistics division. You will lead day-to-day transport planning and manage a fast-paced operation, overseeing 400+ orders daily and 100 collections per day.

The role requires UK geographic knowledge, strong Excel/TMS skills, and excellent communication under pressure. Shift: 4 on 4 off nights (18:00-06:00) with a salary up to £33,000.

Qualifications

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Experience of planning units across multiple depots.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.
• Customer focus on delivery performance.

Responsibilities

• Create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads within 24 hours.
• Subcontract and plan orders from multiple facilities across the UK.
• Plan daily fleet workload based on site and outbases.
• Report problems and respond to queries; ensure KPI targets are met.
• Plan ~100 collections per day on a time-critical basis.
• Identify continuous improvements and adapt to peak periods.

Job Description Life in this role As part of our, Transport Logistics division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Planner.

Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum, depending on experience

Shift: 4 on 4 off nights, 18:00-6:0 0

As a Transport Planner you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Key Duties of a Transport Planner:

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period.
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases.
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
• Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI’s.
• Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate
