Job summary

Culina Group Limited is seeking a Transport Planner in the Transport Logistics division in the UK. You will contribute to the transport team by planning operations, coordinating with warehouses and manufacturing sites, and delivering effective transport plans.

The role requires experience in FMCG logistics, strong IT skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Salary is £27,500 per annum, with a 4 on 4 off night shift (18:00-06:00).

Qualifications

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Experience of planning units across multiple depots.
• Excellent communication skills under pressure.
• Customer-focused on delivery performance.
• Commercially and financially astute and driven to deliver results.
• Experience of using a TMS system.
• Experience in an FMCG environment.
• Strong analytical and Excel capability.

Responsibilities

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads every 24 hours.
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• Plan daily workload of fleet based on site and out bases.
• Report problems and resolve issues and queries that may arise.
• Plan approximately 100 collections per day on a time-critical basis.
• Maintain and exceed agreed KPI targets.
• Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure within tight timescales.
• Be flexible to meet peak-period requirements.

As part of our, Transport Logistics division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Planner.

Salary: £27,500 per annum

Shift: 4 on 4 off nights, 18:00-06:00

As a Transport Planner you will be contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Key Duties of a Transport Planner:

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period.
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK.
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and out bases.
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise.
• Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI’s.
• Proactively look for continuous improvements.
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale.
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year.
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate.
