Job summary

The Best Connection Group Ltd are recruiting for a Transport Planner to join a busy operation in Stoke-on-Trent. The role suits someone with transport planning experience seeking a long-term position with potential to become permanent.

You will work Monday to Friday with rotational shifts, plan and coordinate daily transport operations, allocate routes to drivers, monitor movements, and communicate with drivers and customers to keep schedules accurate.

Transport Planner

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Contract Type: Full-Time. Temp to Perm available

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, Rotational Shifts

Salary: £30,237.50

About the Role

The Best Connection Group Ltd are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner to join a busy transport operation based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous transport planning experience who are looking for a long term position with the potential to become permanent.

The role is Monday to Friday on a rotational shift pattern. Once fully trained, shifts will rotate between:

• 06:00am to 14:00pm
• 07:00am to 15:00pm
• 14:00pmm to 22:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and coordinating daily transport operations
• Allocating routes to drivers
• Monitoring vehicle and driver movements throughout the day
• Communicating effectively with drivers, customers and the wider transport team
• Ensuring transport schedules are managed efficiently and accurately

The Ideal Candidate

• Salary £30,237.50 per annum / £15.50ph
• Previous transport planning experience is essential
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced transport environment
