Reporting to the Team Leader, your main responsibility is to coordinate collections and deliveries across our UK network. Effective planning and time management are crucial.

1. Act as the primary contact for customers, hauliers, suppliers, and internal teams such as Warehouse and Customer Service;
2. Ensure compliance with all processes and legal requirements;
3. Utilize IT software to plan deliveries, negotiate rates, and bill customers accordingly.

You will also support other aspects of the transport operation, including helping to acquire new business to increase revenue and optimize vehicle utilization. Due to the nature of the role, occasional work outside standard hours may be required to handle delivery issues.

To succeed as a Transport Planner, you should be detail-oriented, proactive, and possess a commercial mindset and team spirit. You must be capable of managing multiple moving parts within a sophisticated, nationwide logistics network.

The minimum requirements are:

• 5 A-C grade GCSEs
• At least 2 years of Transport Planning experience
• Strong IT skills with knowledge of driver hours, tachograph, and WTD legislation
• Excellent administrative skills
• Adaptability to a fast-changing environment
• Knowledge of Reefer transport (desirable)
