Job Description

Our client is looking for a Transport Planner to join their growing team in Horley. This is an ideal role for someone who is organized, reliable, and confident in planning and managing daily transport operations.

What’s in it for you?

• Monday to Friday with flexible shift times | 6am-3pm, 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm
• £26,000 - £31,000 per annum DOE
• 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays, with 3 days allocated for Christmas shutdown
• Overtime available every other Saturday, paid at enhanced rates
• Free onsite parking
• Company Pension (contributory scheme)

The Role: This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently on a daily basis. Key duties include:

• Planning daily transport routes efficiently to ensure optimal use of time and resources
• Working closely with engineers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure schedules run to plan
• Ensuring compliance with driver hours and updating and filing PL01 records
• Dealing with issues or delays as they arise and adjusting plans accordingly
• Building and maintaining good working relationships with suppliers and customers

The Person:

• Experience in planning and optimizing transport routes
• Confident communicator who works well with others and can handle a busy environment
• Well-organized with a keen eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
• A good understanding of transport rules and regulations
