Job description

Working on behalf of my client, Interaction Recruitment has a great opportunity for an experienced transport planner based out of Peterlee.

Job Details

The role primarily involves working Monday - Friday. Typical shifts are 06:30 - 17:30, but earlier starts, later finishes, and weekend work may be required to meet business needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Plan and manage loads to meet KPI levels.
2. Ensure that planned work complies with road transport directives and EU drivers' rules & regulations.
3. Liaise with customers and depots to meet targets and ensure accurate scheduling on traffic management systems.
4. Manage vehicle operations, including coordination with the fleet workshop, wheel security, and monitoring vehicle gross weights for compliance.
5. Complete all administrative tasks related to operations to the required standard.
6. Handle daily operational issues effectively.

Qualifications

A CPC qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
