Job summary

MTrec Commercial are currently supporting our highly successful client in their search for an experienced Transport Planner to join their growing team on a full-time and permanent basis. You will manage an established HGV fleet, plan routes, and maintain proactive communication with drivers and customers, ensuring accurate costing and professional service at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with HGV fleet.
• Proven transport planning experience.
• Costings and financial experience in transport planning.
• Excellent communication with customers, drivers and clients.
• Strong route planning experience.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of curtain sizes and related aspects is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage an established HGV fleet.
• Plan and maintain an HGV fleet.
• Communicate clearly with drivers and customers.
• Costing and planning routes for the HGV fleet.
• Maintain excellent administration throughout planning and execution.
• Liaise with contractors as required.
• Represent the client’s brand professionally at all times.
• Manage subcontractors when required.

The Role you will be doing;

• Successfully manage an established and reputable HGV fleet
• Successfully plan and maintain an HGV fleet
• Ensure clear and pro-active communication with drivers and customers alike
• Costing and planning routes for the HGV fleet
• Ensuring excellent administration at all times throughout planning and execution
• Laise with contractors as and when required
• Representing our client’s brand in a professional and diligent manner at all times
• Managing sub-contractors when required to do so

About you;

• Proven experience working with HVG Fleet
• Proven transport planning experience
• Costings and financial experience in regards to transport planning
• Extremely comfortable dealing with customers, drivers and clients
• Previous route planning experience
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent planning ability
• Knowledge and prior experience of curtain sizes and similar related aspects hugely beneficial
