Brook Street Recruitment is recruiting a Transport Planner for a client in Lisburn. The role is ideal for someone with logistics, transport or warehousing experience who can help ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery operations.

You will plan deliveries, schedule drivers, maintain records and liaise with Customer Services and Sales to meet delivery requirements and service levels. The position is full-time with standard hours and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of transport IT systems.
• Good knowledge of geography of NI, GB and ROI.
• Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate deliveries in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Schedule and assign work to drivers, confirming delivery and booking dates.
• Ensure customer delivery requirements are met and service levels maintained.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Produce delivery schedules, reports, and operational documentation.
• Liaise with Customer Services and Sales teams to manage delivery expectations and resolve issues proactively.
• Verify order information before scheduling deliveries.
• Manage workload effectively while handling customer enquiries across multiple channels.
• Maintain accurate records and provide information as required.
• Meet performance targets, deadlines and service standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
• Uphold company values and deliver excellent customer care at all times.

Criteria

• Previous experience as a Transport Planner or within a similar logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of transport-related IT systems.
• Good geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland, Great Britain, and the Republic of Ireland.
• Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify and drive operational improvements.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all business levels.
• Able to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Benefits

• Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 DOE.
