Job summary

Streamline Search is seeking a Transport Planner in Bedford to join the family-run team. The role focuses on planning and routing specialist haulage movements across the UK, coordinating routes and driver planning, and liaising with drivers, customers and suppliers.

Ideal candidates bring a proactive attitude; transport planning experience is not essential, but specialist haulage knowledge is a plus. Salary ranges from £35,000 to £45,000 and benefits include generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport planning is not essential, but importer haulage experience is advantageous.
• Proven ability to plan routes and coordinate UK specialist movements.
• Good communication with drivers, customers and suppliers.

• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.

Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Bedford

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30-5:30, will change after 6 months' probation period.

Salary £35,000- to £45,000

My client is a family run general haulage business, priding themselves on the service they provide to customers and placing an enormous amount of emphasis on working as a team, drivers, and office staff alike. They are now looking for someone to join the transport team, assisting with the planning and routing of the vehicles.

Relevant transport planning experience is not essential; however specialist haulage experience would be advantageous. We are focused on finding the right person with the right attitude and personality.
