Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is recruiting a Transport First Line Manager to support our Avonmouth transport operation, driving safety, service levels, and compliance. You will lead a team, coach colleagues, and ensure timely deliveries while meeting customer requirements in a fast-paced environment.

We value strong communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities, plus proficiency in MS Office and transport management systems like Tachomaster and Microlise.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a transport operation environment.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using transport management systems, including Tachomaster and Microlise.
• A proactive approach with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced operational setting.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day management of our transport operation, ensuring safety, service, and compliance.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team to meet customer expectations and targets.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with transport legislation and company policies.
• Coach and engage colleagues to create a positive, high-performing environment.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with customer requirements and procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service excellence.
