Job Description

We have a great opportunity for a Transport Operations Support Clerk to join our Telford Transport team on a full-time permanent basis. This position involves debriefing drivers daily and providing administrative support to the Transport team.

Salary: £26,944 per annum

Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 6 pm - 6 am

Key Duties
  • Debrief drivers accurately.
  • Check and ensure all timesheets and PODs are correctly completed and returned.
  • Scan and store PODs using Culina’s document management system.
  • Prepare drivers’ wallets and issue delivery notes and relevant delivery information.
  • Print dispatch notes and replenish dispatch paper as needed.
  • Answer calls and assist with inquiries.
  • Download drivers’ cards/tachographs.
  • Communicate ETAs to Customer Services.
  • Update spreadsheets with change-overs, run summaries, and trailer check sheets.
  • Depart loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
  • Ensure all uplifts are dispatched correctly.

  • Computer literacy, especially MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
