Job summary

Transport Coordinator – Logistics & Operations based in Bedford is seeking a driven professional to join a busy operations team. This temporary role offers £17.32 per hour with immediate start and is ideal for someone with experience in transport, logistics or shipping.

You will coordinate deliveries, liaise with transport companies, and work closely with warehouse and customer service to ensure timely and cost-effective shipments.

Responsibilities

• Organising daily deliveries and collections for both business and individual customers.
• Booking shipments and liaising with transport companies such as DHL, DPD, UPS, Royal Mail, Evri and Amazon.
• Tracking deliveries and dealing with any delays or delivery problems.
• Communicating with transport companies to make sure deliveries run on time.
• Monitoring transport costs and checking delivery charges.
• Helping organise transport capacity during busy periods.
• Coordinating UK and international shipments, including hazardous goods where required.
• Working closely with warehouse and customer service teams to resolve any issues.
• Making sure transport operations run efficiently and customers receive a good service.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Transport Coordinator to join their busy and growing operations team based in Bedford.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in transport, logistics or shipping who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being involved in the day-to-day running of transport operations.

You will be responsible for organising deliveries, booking collections, speaking with transport companies and making sure goods get to customers on time.
