Job summary

Berry Recruitment Group, on behalf of a leading logistics and distribution company, is seeking a Network Planner in Essex to join a busy team.

You will coordinate and optimise the collection and delivery of palletised freight across regional and national networks, using TMS software to maximise vehicle capacity and ensure on-time, cost-efficient deliveries.

Typical hours are Mon-Fri, 45 hours with alternating early/late shifts; 28 days holiday plus up to three performance bonuses per year.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport office or driving is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of transport legislation including WTD.
• Proficient IT skills and familiarity with TMS systems.
• Ability to communicate clearly with drivers and hubs.

Responsibilities

• Plan routes and optimise multi-drop deliveries.
• Coordinate pallet counts to maximise vehicle capacity within weight limits and time windows.
• Provide briefs and debriefs to drivers and run progress reports.
• Liaise with hubs, network depots, and end clients.
• Troubleshoot live delivery issues.
