Job description

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7 - day time working

Location: Bury - M26 2XH

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Transport Manager to coordinate a safe and efficient transport operation, ensuring operational standards and customer requirements are met.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading the Transport Operation through effective leadership, communication, and team development, fostering a culture of high performance, safety, and compliance.
• Ensuring driver and fleet compliance as the named CPC holder on the operator licence, in line with legal and DHL standards.
• Managing the Transport P&L and executing transport plans to meet SLA's and KPI's.
• Acting as the escalation point for operational issues related to transport and warehouse coordination.
• Promoting a positive transport/network culture and supporting Employee Opinion Survey initiatives.

Requirements:

• Hold an International Transport Manager CPC with extensive experience managing large fleets of over 60 vehicles and 130+ drivers.
• Experience in people management within a Transport or Supply Chain environment.
• Strong knowledge of Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours regulations.
• Experience with finance as a budget holder is desirable.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, dealing with customers and internal stakeholders.
