Job description

Due to company growth, we are looking for a Transport Manager to join our expanding fleet department.

Location: Preston

Salary: £40,000

Responsibilities:

• Support the transport manager with driver tachograph analysis using Tacho Master, including WTD vs driver hours, weekly vehicle tachograph checks, and ensuring compliance with legislation and working time directives.
• Conduct daily walk-around vehicle defect checks, ensure records are updated, and defects are escalated to the workshop manager or head of fleet.
• Support vehicle inspections, MOTs, and maintain records for all depot activities, including scheduling pre-planned inspections and services.
• Check driver licenses for points and disqualifications in line with insurance requirements.
• Coordinate scheduling of inspections, services, and MOTs, liaising with relevant managers and workshop coordinators to ensure timely bookings and appointments.

This role will be measured against KPIs such as scheduling updates, daily defect reporting, and vehicle maintenance planning.
