Transport Operations Manager Essex

I am working with a well-established, rapidly expanding waste resource business that now has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Operations Manager to be based on-site in London.

You will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and direction of transport operations.

As a Transport Operations Manager, some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Inspecting transport vehicles to ensure safety and maintenance needs;
2. Organising and maintaining the efficiency of the entire transport service;
3. Arranging routine maintenance of vehicles;
4. Communicating with vehicle drivers, ensuring they are kept up to date with relevant training and qualifications;
5. Organising and scheduling transport staff shifts;
6. Conducting risk assessments of transport systems;
7. Organising training and development days for transport staff;
8. Developing strategies that consider customer satisfaction and ease of use.

To be considered for this role, you MUST have previous experience as a Transport Manager within the recycling industry; CPC and FORS qualifications are desirable; you should have waste management experience, excellent communication and IT skills, a full UK driving licence, and the right to work in the UK.
