CLIENT GROUP TRANSPORT MANAGER (Women’s RWC England 2025 LOC)

Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025) will be the 10th edition of the women's tournament. World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event.

Ambitions for the tournament are at an all-time high as women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Women’s RWC 2025 will be the ultimate stage for the best players, teams, and coaches from 16 nations across the globe and is set to be the biggest and most widely watched women's rugby event ever. The Women’s RWC 2025 Transport team is seeking a Client Group Transport Manager responsible for the transport operations of key clients, including participating teams and tournament guests. The Client Group Transport Manager will report to the Tournament Transport Manager.

Key Dates:
  • 23rd and 24th June 2025 – Pre-tournament induction
  • Start date - 14th July, with the first five weeks on a 5-day week basis.
  • From 18th August, the role will be six days per week until the contract end date.
Responsibilities:
  • Act as the RWC 2025 Transport team point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including colleagues from Team Services, airport, train station, hotel contacts, bus suppliers, travel agencies, and UK Border Force.
  • Oversee arrival and departure operations at airports for key clients, ensuring service levels are met.
  • Coordinate with Team Services Pool Coordinators and Team Liaison Officers regarding daily schedules and bus services, adhering to driver working hour restrictions.
  • Work with the appointed Travel Agent to advise on and amend departure flights for teams as needed.
  • Manage tournament guest bus shuttle operations at key fixtures and at hotels.
Experience & Knowledge:
  • Experience in transport operations within a tournament environment.
  • Ability to support multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with external stakeholders.
  • Valid right to work in the UK.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with arrivals and departures for major tournaments.
  • Experience delivering transport for teams/athletes.
  • Experience working with travel agencies for group bookings.
