Gleeson has partnered with a transport and warehousing business looking for a Transport Manager. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record in compliance and delivering cost savings to the overall operation.

Job Title: Transport Manager

Location: Leeds

Salary: £40,000 - 55,000 + Benefits

Duties:

• Lead daily haulage operations, ensuring compliance with legal, industry, and health & safety standards.
• Provide leadership to cross-functional teams, including drivers and transport office staff.
• Maintain excellent relationships with customers, ensuring service quality and communication.
• Manage P&L, aligning resources with operational and financial goals.
• Lead, mentor, and develop team members at all levels.
• Ensure adherence to DVSA guidelines, O-License conditions, tachograph use, and working time directives.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in Transport & Operations Management
• Transport Compliance Knowledge
• Staff Management, Route Planning, Cost Saving
• CPC Certification (required)
